Anglo-Italian Updates This week, we added some new arrivals to address our Clients’ needs for the run-up to the holidays and beyond. The center of the capsule is suiting with new qualities from Italian Vitale Barberis Canonico and British Brisbane Moss. The Flannel Cashmere Blend from VBC combines wool, cotton, and cashmere, immediately appealing to me for both its soft hand feel and the gorgeous color range. This modern take on a flannel cloth is not as felted or compact as traditional flannels, making it more universal and versatile. Now available across our broad offering of recently expanded styles, not only in a sportscoat but also in windstopper, shirt jacket, bomber, vests, and our mac coat in 5 new colorways. The face aspect of this cloth uses the mélange of the cotton mixed with the color of the wool, making it easy to combine with casual pants, particularly khaki and stone. The colorways were selected thinking of holiday events, the need for perhaps a couple of stand-out pieces, sportscoats etc. that our Clients may be looking for to add to his wardrobe around this time of year. |

Our Velvet from Brisbane Moss is a proven quality that works for formal, including weddings, but also make great sportscoats to wear in the social season perfect for cocktail hour or those holiday parties, without going full-on tux. This new launch included two new colors to sit alongside the Navy and Black: Burgundy and Moss. The burgundy shade is reminiscent of dark red tones we have had in past seasons, but the Moss is a gorgeous new olive that we are offering for the first time. Both new colors work back to black and should make it easy to create complete stylish outfits for our Clients. We are offering the velvets in the Bomber style, which, for younger Clients, may be an unexpected way to dress up for an occasion without the formality of a sportscoat. |

Other new fabrics we chose for the social season are the two jacquards, offering something for our Clients that is truly stylish and unique. Both have a beautiful decorative motif that borrows from historic textiles and decoration, the first with a more navy background and swirling birds of paradise amongst refined blossoms, the other with waves of paisley design with hints of magenta. These also can be chosen across formal, sportscoat, vest, and the above-mentioned bomber style, adding certainly an element of surprise that serves the need for some Clients to step up their style game this time of year. For layering, we added two new colors in our Reda wool knits, perfect for the new sportscoats and completing the range of colors in our iconic custom-made knit assortment. We also added a pop of Plum red to our interlock, which works well for non-wool warmer zones, and as currently the shades of red continue to do well for us from our fall collection. In casual pants, our pincord and 4-way stretch colorways are added to complete the ranges in two fabrics. We have seen enormous success across our casual pants, and lastly, our Tech stretch twill range is updated with a chestnut brown, which completes the updates to the season now available. |
