This week I wanted to focus on the new chest embroidery program. Monogramming has always been something we have offered, but I feel it is sometimes forgotten as a great selling point that differentiates us from many other menswear brands. By introducing our new chest embroidery as an extension of our monogram offering—larger (1.6 inch) lettering on knit fabrics—I hope to put more focus on the overall monogramming service that we offer as an option for all of our custom-made categories.
This new program allows you to choose up to 6 uppercase letters and/or numbers to be embroidered across the chest in either a modern font or a classic font. For now, no symbols or spaces between letters and numbers, but I think this gives you ample creative license to come up with your own embroidery ideas. Names are the obvious choice, and you may also enjoy emblazoning important dates, teams and colleges on your knits, or as gifts for friends and family.
The chest embroidery option is available in closed-neck styles, as anything with a split front would alter the embroidery layout. These closed-neck styles include the crewneck tee, v-neck tee and the pullover hoodie, all with current available thread colors as shown in the Custom Guide for knits on jhilburn.com.
The fabrics available for this embroidery option are limited, as we need a sturdier, more substantial fabric to support the bolder embroidery stitching. This excludes some of our lighter weight knit fabrics, but still includes options at different price points and compositions, which we will be adding to as the seasons evolve. Available fabrics include our best-selling interlock jerseys, Reda wool knits, and our Fall 2021 seasonal cotton wools and wool fleeces. This variety of fabrics gives you enough options for great gift ideas, and going forward for any special occasion you may have to celebrate with personalized embroidery.
