Shirt, Knits and Pants

As of this week, we are extending our “Three Made For Me” to include casual pants and all knits. This now means that we can offer three or more in any combination of shirts, knits, and casual pants to you and offer $10 off each item. We do this to give clients the benefit of the savings in shipping and packaging costs, making for more eco-friendly operations, which ultimately are good for all of us.

With the golf season and the long weekends of late spring and summer about to kick in, our casual collection comes into its strength, offering incredible value whilst addressing the modern lifestyle of our clients. Casual pieces mixed with tailoring are for most work environments, the new business norm, and getting used to this outfitting prepares us seamlessly to work with a broad and broader range of clients. At J.Hilburn, we believe that with our new tiered pricing, we have a chance to win over many clients who shop from casual “off the rack” brands offering incredible value with a small premium for custom-made fit and personalization unlike any other brand out there.

If you struggle to pick a casual item to try start with these two well-tried and trusted qualities that are guaranteed to please and bring you along into the casualization of everyman’s modern wardrobe.

Does you love your four-way stretch pants? Most guys do. The comfort, the ease of fit, and the way it doesn’t wrinkle even on the longest of flights make it an excellent travel pant and prove that it can work well in any situation. This favorite is a great “gateway” for non-casual clients to try; I can almost guarantee that once you get into one, you will want every color and every seasonal update in that quality. This pant is a true modern icon of the collection, constantly beating sales due to its universal appeal that sits perfectly within a modern guy’s lifestyle, bridging leisure wear, athletic wear, and casual wear.

How about our interlock cotton knit? Has you tried that yet? So here is the thing about this fabric, which I have underlined before: Most knits are a single-layer construction, making them lightweight, which is great, but it also increases their “clingability,” which isn’t a characteristic that most non-gym toned bodies love (speaking for a friend here). The lightweight feel is maintained in the interlock structure by going really extra fine in the cotton yarn used, which, knitted into the double face knit technique, adds a compactness that drapes away from the body in a flattering way. Most guys don’t realize this, but when they wear the interlock, they realize it is anything but a basic knit, which has consequently made it another best seller for us season after season. Layered under a sportscoat, this knit takes on a clean and well-toned appearance that marries perfectly with tailoring, and then even when worn with shorts in the height of summer, this knit looks more polished than other products on the market. I love this fabric and personally indulge myself in having multiple custom-made crew neck tee-shirts for me to use year-round, layering under Reda knit full-zips, tailored sportscoats, etc. With the three made for me now extending to these categories, a client can indulge himself, too, with a little less guilt about buying multiples in any of our casual categories.
